Scripture: Psalm 138: 6-7

The Psalmist tells us that God’s power to see us clearly for what we are is unparalleled. He said that even though the Lord is above all creation, God still understands and accepts even the most insignificant person. At the same time God is unimpressed with those who believe that they are above the fray; those who out of conceit put themselves ahead of others. thus, if a person thinks that they are getting away with things, God sees them clearly for what they are doing.

In John 13: 44-46, Jesus says ‘Who so ever believes in me, believes not in me, but Him who sent me”. Jesus tells his disciples and others that God is seeing them clearly by way of Jesus. He reminds us that God sent Jesus here as His full and complete self among us.

Jesus like the Psalmist tells us that eveen as God is above and beyond all things, in a miraculous way the Lord is right there with us in the form of Jesus. In the same passage Jesus says, “I have come to bring light into the world’. It is a great mystery in our lives that in Jesus God can be immediately present with us and at the same time transcendant beyond creation as we know it. The struggle to deal with the concepts of belief and faith. As God offers these ideas to us we are asked to invest ourselves in different sort of knowledge, a feeling of intuition of God’s presence in our lives in the person of Jesus.

Prayer: O Lord, we rely on You to reveala aYour power and love to us and so we are grateful that You have gifted us with Your son and out Lord, Jesus. Continue to call us to a spiritual place that we might celebrate the power and joy of Your love for us in Jesus. Amen
